Dance in Leander: Flood Benefit Dance Workshop

Floods ravaged many communities in Central Texas in early July. Our own community in Leander and nearby in Liberty Hill and Burnet were deeply effected by the floods. Center Stage came together to create a Flood Benefit Dance Workshop to assist in aiding families whose homes and businesses were flooded.

We had two age groups learn an uplifting lyrical dance piece. Our dancers enjoyed dancing for others while expressing themselves through dance, and our dance families generously donated to the cause. Together, we raised $785 to donate for flood relief. The money we raised was donated to Austin Disaster Relief Network. “In and out of disaster response, Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) serves those in need. With the help of volunteers working alongside our efforts, survivors and those in crisis are able to receive relief through the compassion at the heart of EVERY volunteer serving within our organization.” Thank you to all who donated and participated in our Flood Benefit Dance Workshop to help our neighbors in need in the Leander and Liberty Hill communities.
