We have had such a great start to our dance year! At Center Stage in Leander, we offer several preschool-aged dance classes throughout the week. We have dance classes for our youngest dancers ages 2.5-3 years old. We also have dance classes for our preschool-aged dancers ages 4-5 years old. With weekday morning classes, afternoon classes, and Saturday morning class options, we offer our dance families various times that hopefully work well with their schedules.
In our young classes, we introduce basic ballet and tap steps. Students also experiment with various rhythms using instruments and clapping to tap out beats. Our dancers enjoy using their own creativity and imagination when we dance with scarves or hula hoops. They are introduced to movement through music and dance combos. We use a variety of props in our young classes to keep the dancers engaged in class. Students also learn how to take turns and share all while making new dance friends in class.
We love seeing the dancers smiles as they enter the studio, and the joy they feel for dance is palpable. We are truly blessed to get to teach our youngest dancers. We hope to instill in them a love of movement and dance!
