The end of a year brings a moment to look back, reflect, and remember the joys of the previous year. It’s always fun to look through photos from the year and remember fun times and special memories. 2025 was a year full of dancing, friends, and making memories for all of us here at Center Stage! We hope our dance families enjoy taking a look back with us.
In January, we got back to dancing and training after the Christmas break. New students joined us in dance classes, and our competition teams started to polish their competition routines. In February, our companies showcased their competition routines for the first time of the season at the Living Leander Business Expo.
March brought on competition season! It was finally time for our dancers to take the stage and give it their all in their performances. Watching our dancers shine on stage always brings us such joy.
April brought more competitions for our company teams as well as preparations for the recital shows during dance classes. We love seeing our dancers make friends in classes and on their company teams. In May, our dancers put their finishing touches on their recital show pieces in preparation for the shows in June.
June brought our four dance recital shows! The excitement among all the dancers backstage is palpable. There is nothing like dancing on stage under the stage lights having friends and family cheer you on. We are honored to get to experience that joy with our students each year.
June and July brought so many dance camps and intensives over the summer for our students. From our young dancers participating in themed weekly camps to our older dancers studying in dance intensives, the studio is full of learning and growing over the summer. In August, we start our company choreography camps and get ready for the new dance year.
This summer also presented an opportunity to help our neighbors with our Flood Benefit Dance Workshop. Students came and danced with us, and all the proceeds were donated to Austin Disaster Relief Network to help families effected by the devastating July 4-5 floods. Together, we were able to donate $785!
September means “back to dance”! It’s always a fun time at the studio as we all get ready for a great year of dancing together.
In October, we continued learning in our dance classes, and our company teams had their photo shoot. We had lovely fall weather for our shoot this year.
October also brings Dress-Up Week which just might be the most fun week all year at the dance studio. We all love seeing the cute, fun, and creative costumes our dancers wear to class.
In November, we host our annual Thanksgiving food drive which benefits Hill Country Community Ministries in Leander. This year, we donated 110 pounds of food!
December brings Christmas performances. Parents are invited to watch their child’s Christmas dance during the last week of dance classes before the break. Our company team’s Christmas performance is held at the Leander Christmas Festival. This event is so fun as we get to be a part of a real-world “Christmas Hallmark movie”. We get to perform in front of this giant Christmas tree in our hometown. So fun!
And just for fun, let’s do a year in review in numbers:
- over 650 students in classes and camps who graced our studio rooms
