At Center Stage in Leander, we offer a Mommy & Me dance class for our tiniest dancers. Our youngest dancers will participate in a variety of activities to keep them engaged throughout the class. The class starts with a sing along time where moms and their little ones sing and act out hand motions to music. The little dancers will be able to dance with ribbons and play with hula hoops during creative movement time. The teacher will then set up an obstacle course with hula hoops, a foam floor balance beam, a tunnel, and mats to allow the little ones to explore. Music time will follow with various instruments for the dancers to play as they sit in a circle with mom. The class usually ends with parachute play and bubbles.
Our Mommy & Me class helps introduce little ones to a class structure while engaging their developing minds with creative play, rhythms, and movement. In addition, the class offers a special time for moms and little ones to bond and play together. For the 2018-2019 season, this class will be on Wednesdays from 5:45-6:30 pm. Classes begin Sept. 5.
