Every year after Thanksgiving, my sister and I hit the stores for Black Friday shopping. It has become a tradition for us to shop all night long. After I get some sleep, I can’t wait to wake up and wrap presents. Can anyone guess what I watch while wrapping presents? I’m sure you guessed it – Hallmark Christmas movies! Probably like many of you, I watch them all season (even if I’ve already seen them). There is just something about the way the happy Hallmark Christmas movies make you feel so cozy. Like you are walking around in an idyllic Christmas village.
Well, did you know you can get that very same feeling right here in Leander? And I don’t just mean from your living room sofa! Leander has a wonderful festival called the Old Town Christmas Festival complete with a Rudolph Run, Santa visits, smores, a Christmas parade, and holiday performances.
You can catch the Center Stage Company dancers on the stage at 5:30PM on Dec. 7th. Our company dance groups have been preparing for their Christmas performances in class and can’t wait to perform at the Old Town Leander Christmas Festival. They get to dance right in front of an enormous Christmas tree. It really is the perfect picturesque Christmas scene.
