Whether you are new to dance classes or just new to a different dance style, you might be wondering what your child needs for his/her dance class. We will be having an Open House where we can help your dancer get fitted for dance shoes and dance wear before classes start. Our Open House dates are Aug. 26-27 and Sept. 2-3 between 4:30-6:30. Our fall session of dance classes begins Sept. 8th.
For our 2.5-3 years and 4-5 years Ballet/Tap Combo classes, students will wear any color leotard. They can wear a dance skirt or tutu if they would like. We have a shoe package which includes ballet shoes, tap shoes, tights, and tap ties for $60. This year our combo classes will purchase an individual prop kit for $10 to be used in class which will eliminate sharing of dance props. We stock ballet shoes, tap shoes, leotards, tutus, tights, and the prop kits at the studio.
For Ballet classes, students may wear any color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. We stock several leotards, tights, and ballet shoes. For Jazz, Dance/Drill, Leaps & Turns, and Musical Theater classes, students wear any color leotard, tan tights, and tan jazz shoes. Students may wear dance shorts for Jazz and Musical Theater. We also have jazz shoes available to purchase at the studio. For Lyrical/Contemporary classes, dancers may wear any color leotard, optional dance shorts, nude footless or stirrup tights, and pirouette shoes. We stock both the stirrup tights and pirouette shoes at the dance studio.
For Tap classes, students may wear any color leotard, dance shorts or leggings, and nude lace-up tap shoes. We do not have the nude lace-up tap shoes stocked at the studio. Our Hip-Hop dancers may wear any comfortable clothing they can move freely in. They wear low-top black Converse or a generic brand that looks the same. These should be worn only for dance classes to keep our floors free of debris and oils from outside. We do not have the Converse shoes available at the studio. We do have leotards, Center Stage t-shirts, leggings, and Center Stage hoodies (in late fall) available at the studio for purchase.
