On Sept. 26, we held our Jazz Intensive. We had so many students sign up for the Jazz Intensive that we divided the age groups even more and split the dancers between two dance rooms throughout the day to allow for distancing. We had over 50 students dance with us that day!
We host six dance intensives on Saturdays throughout the year. These dance intensives offer students a great opportunity to try out various dance genres as we offer Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Musical Theater, and Dance/Drill Intensives. In addition, students can learn from different instructors. All of our instructors have extensive dance experience and bring their passion for dance to our students.
In the Jazz Intensive, students spent some time stretching and warming up at the beginning. They then moved on to jazz progressions across the floor and center technique work. Dancers then learned a jazz combination designed to challenge them at their age and level. Dancers ended with a performance for one parent (limited due to covid). We saw a lot of smiles throughout the day. We were pleased to see the dancers working so hard and enjoying the Jazz Intensive.
Our next dance intensive is our Lyrical/Contemporary Intensive with Ms. Monica on October 24th. All students (and non-students) ages 5+ are welcome to attend. Students will work on lyrical/contemporary turns, leaps, showmanship, and a short dance. Space is limited.
Ages 5-8: 1:00-2:25PM, 9-11: 2:30-3:55PM, 12+: 4:00-5:25PM – – Cost $20 Registration may be completed at our front desk, over the phone (512-259-0445), or online through the Parent Portal. We hope to see you there!
