At Center Stage, our summers are full of fun dance camps. Dance camps give us an opportunity to explore, create, dance, and make new friends. In addition to our regular weekly dance classes, we offer several dance camps with different themes throughout the summer.
Our first dance camp of the summer was our Princess/Prince Dance Camp.
We had a ball dancing with all of these little princesses and princes.
We did prop design outside of the dance studio on our front porch. The students loved painting their jelly fish and seashell props for their dance to “Under the Sea”.
Back inside the studio, the students had fun creating ocean waves with a parachute. In dance camp, our students get to explore movement through games. At the end of the week, these little princesses and princes put on a dance show for their parents showing them the routines they learned throughout the week.
Another fun dance camp was our jungle-themed camp. These little lions learned dance routines to various jungle-themed songs and created costume pieces like these adorable masks pictured above.
Our last camp of the summer was our Cheer/Dance Camp. In this camp, students learned pom dance routines, worked on stunting, and practiced their tumbling skills. Their favorite part was getting to use these new pink poms!
