We hope all of our Center Stage families had a wonderful holiday break and are on to a great New Year! We wanted to take a look back at our 2016 dance year here at Center Stage in Leander. Scrolling through pictures was so much fun. Enjoy a look back!
In January and February of 2016, we welcomed new dance students to the studio and began working on our recital dances. Our competition teams continued to polish their routines for the spring competition season. Our dance students also worked hard in some Saturday dance intensives. Pictured below is our Jazz Intensive that took place last February.

March brought on the start of our competition season. We began our competition at On Stage Productions in Lago Vista. We went on to compete in Pflugerville at Act I Talent and Stage One. Our students all performed beautifully, and we are so proud of their accomplishments.

We attended another competition in April.

In May, we performed at the Old Town Leander Street Festival. We had a great time performing, hanging out with friends, and visiting all of the vendors at the festival. We will again be participating in this festival this May.

At the end of May and the beginning of June, our dance dads joined in on the dancing fun at Center Stage! Every year we do a father/daughter dance for the recital which is always a big hit.

June also brings our biggest event of the year – the recital!!! The recital gives our dance students an opportunity to perform in front of their friends and family. It is always fun and creates lasting memories for our dancers.

In June and July, we enjoy week long dance camps and dance intensives. For our older dancers, we offer dance intensives in several styles for them to further their dance training. For our younger dancers, we offer a variety of fun, themed dance camps.

In July, one of our company teams went to Nationals. They did an outstanding job and more importantly created special memories with one another.

After the summer break, it’s time to get geared up for the upcoming dance year once August rolls around. Our competitive dancers begin their dances as well as participate in team building activities at Company Dance Camps in August.

In September, we welcome back our returning students and welcome in new students with the start of fall classes. In October, we have fun with dress up week during the week of Halloween. This year, we also did a costume party Parents’ Night Out. Our little dancing ghosts and goblins had a blast!

In November, some of our competitive dancers traveled to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine for the Showstoppers Dance Convention. They took dance classes from world-renowned choreographers. When they weren’t in classes, you could find them riding water slides at the huge indoor waterpark! Hanging out with dance friends is so much fun.

December brought us the opportunity to perform at the Old Town Leander Christmas Festival. We performed to music from The Grinch and loved dressing up as little Who-ville characters.

We can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for us here at Center Stage!
