Every year at Center Stage is full of wonderful memories. We love watching our dancers grow and learn each year. As I was looking back through pictures from the past year, I was reminded of how blessed all of us dance teachers are to get to work with these awesome kids every week. I can’t fit all the great memories from the year into this one blog post, so I just picked a few favorites. I hope you enjoy looking back on 2018 here at Center Stage in Leander!
In February, our competitive teams performed at the Living Leander Business Exposition. This is always a fun event in the Leander community, and our girls love performing in preparation for our upcoming competitions.
Our competition season begins in March and continues through late April. Our Center Stage dancers always represent us well and make us so proud!
In May, Ms. Monica and I visit schools around the area and teach a jazz class to the dance students. We visited Leander Middle School, Stiles Middle School, and Wiley Middle School in Leander. We also visited the Liberty Belles at Liberty Hill High School.
May brings spring dance pictures. We love seeing all of the students coming in with their cute recital costumes.
June is dance recital time! Our dancers begin working on their recital routines in their dance classes starting in February. By recital time, all of the dancers are very excited and ready to perform!
The summer is full of classes, camps, and intensives for our dancers.
September is “Back to Dance” here at Center Stage in Leander! We love seeing our returning dancers each year and welcoming new dancers into our Center Stage family. How cute are these two tiny dancers?
The week of Halloween, we have dress up week at the dance studio. This might be my favorite week of the year. The kids all look so adorable in their costumes. As you can see, we have some pretty awesome and fun dance teachers at Center Stage too!
In November, we went to Showstoppers dance convention at Great Wolf Lodge. Our dancers took classes all weekend in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and more! They also got to play at the water park and hang out with friends.
Santa visited Center Stage in Leander this year at our Polar Express Party. This event was so much fun with dancing, drinking hot cocoa, making jingle bell necklaces, and a special visit from Santa. 
In December, some of our dancers performed at the Old Town Leander Christmas Festival. We had a blast showcasing Christmas dances for the community.
Reflecting on the year reminds us all that time passes so quickly. We hope that we are helping create wonderful memories for your dancer. We look forward to more fun together in 2019!
