We all know that 2020 has interrupted our usual activities in innumerable ways. Here at Center Stage in Leander, our classes went virtual after spring break like so many other activities. When we were able to reopen safely, we brought our students back in the studio to dance for two weeks together before putting on our alternative plan of an outdoor recital. It wasn’t what we planned, but it was amazing! 2020 is teaching us to pivot and brainstorm new ideas.
As we prepare for our new dance year, we don’t exactly know what this crazy year might bring our way. We will distance and sanitize and make new plans as needed and most importantly, we will keep dancing! Some of our students will be dancing here at the studio while others continue to dance remotely. Either way, we will continue providing quality dance classes in a fun and engaging environment.
This time of year our competitive dancers prepare for the upcoming dance year. They participate in company camps where they meet their new team members and begin learning choreography. The excitement as these dancers entered the studio was palpable. With smiles and a renewed energy and love for dance, they participated in camp with an eager attitude to learn and grow. While we don’t know what our dance competition season will look like, we do know that these dancers aren’t letting anything get in their way. They will continue to learn and continue to reach their goals and continue to create lasting friendships in their dance classes. So, we are looking forward to a great dance year together, and we will just keep dancing!
