We hope you all are having a wonderful Thanksgiving break with your families. This time of year is a wonderful time for reflection. We all know that 2020 has been a challenging year with a lot of uncertainties and changes. While it has provided plenty of obstacles along the way, we all still have a lot for which to be thankful. I asked our teachers to contribute to create a thankful blog together. They have shared what they are thankful for as it pertains to our students, dance families, the studio, etc. As we reflect on our blessings this holiday season, we want to thank all of you for being part of our Center Stage family!
I will start with saying that I am incredibly grateful for the support we have received during this trying year. Our students did a great job of learning virtually when we had to close. Our teachers all learned to teach via zoom which came with many challenges along the way. They handled every challenge with professionalism, and continued to provide fun, engaging classes for our students. Our dance families continued to support us and recommend Center Stage to their friends and families. I am also thankful for my dance students who keep me young (or they try to at least). The studio is a team effort shared by our teachers, students, dance families, and office staff, and we thank you all for being part of this team! (Ms. Michelle)
Ms. Tori shares, “I am especially thankful for the extended family that Center Stage has provided. Not only do we have amazing families that have supported us through one of the craziest years, showing us patience and grace as we worked out the kinks of Zoom, but I’m also incredibly appreciative of how everyone at the studio has embraced my own family. From the oldest who took a break from dancing and came back to join company, to my littlest who has made friends with everyone in the lobby and is giving Ms. Brittany a run for her money! My family feels loved by Center Stage, and I hope to impart the same to all of my dancers and their families!
Ms. Monica shares, “I look forward to coming to the studio each week and working with students who are so excited to be there. I’m grateful for the opportunity to teach and hope to continue teaching for many more years with this dance family.”
Ms. Carla says, “I’m thankful for the supportive family atmosphere, especially during these times! To be able to share our experience and passion for dance with the students means the world to us teachers.”
Ms. Kassie shares, “I am thankful for the opportunity to share my love of dance with young people and watch them work hard to accomplish something. There is a lot of support and love in the studio.”
Ms. Brittany expresses, “I am so thankful for Center Stage and the opportunity to share my knowledge and love of dance with each of my students. All of my students show a strong determination to learn and improve, and their smiling faces brighten up my day. I am so grateful that I get to work with them each week, and I’m blessed to be a part of the Center Stage family.”
Ms. Maddie, who was a student at Center Stage and is now teaching with us, shares, “I am thankful for all my students that I teach from my littlest five year-olds to my oldest fourteen year-olds in this beautiful studio. It’s very rewarding to see my students improve or get a move we have been working on. I feel blessed to be associated with such a great studio and staff. Finally, I am thankful that we are all able to get together and share our love of dance.”
Ms. Maggie, who grew up in the studio as a student from two years old through high school, now teaches classes with us. She says, “I’m thankful that I get to come to the studio each week to take dance classes still and also to teach my own students.”
Ms. Brylee, who also grew up in the studio from the age of two and who is now in college, teaches classes with us as well. Ms. Brylee shares, “I’m thankful for all of the students, parents, and teachers that are part of the Center Stage family! Through all of the uncertainty the year has brought, we have been able to stick together and connect through dancing. It is such a special part of my life.”
We wish you all a very happy holiday season!
