We have had an excellent week welcoming new and returning dancers to the 2016-2017 dance year. Now that classes are back in full swing, we are excited to announce that our FIRST dance intensive is right around the corner!
We invite you to join us on Saturday, September 24th for our Lyrical/Contemporary Intensive, taught by Ms. Lindsey. Ages 5-9 years will be from 2:00-3:55pm, and ages 10+ years will be from 4:05-6:00pm.
At Center Stage, we highly value our dance intensives. Here are three of our top reasons to allow your dancer to participate:
REASON 1: Explore new dance styles! Since our intensives are only a one-day commitment, they are a perfect opportunity to try out a new style of dance. Trying new dance styles keeps students well-rounded and can often give them a fresh appreciation for dance.
REASON 2: Improve dance technique and stamina! With our intensives lasting two hours, they are about twice as long as our weekly classes. This will improve dancers’ stamina, as well as provide extensive technical training from the instructor.
REASON 3: Meet new teachers and friends! One of the greatest benefits is getting to work with a variety of teachers and classmates. Receiving instruction from a new teacher is incredibly beneficial to a dancer’s training.
Ms. Lindsey studied at the San Diego City Ballet and El Paso’s Ballet Center, and is currently a dance major. She cannot wait to come share her passion for dance with Center Stage students in Leander.
