Dance in Leander: Start of Competition Season!

For our company dancers, spring is an exciting time. It’s the start of competition season! After working hard in company camp and classes throughout the year and listening to their teachers endlessly say “one more time,” it’s finally time to perform. Many weeks of preparation, learning choreography, cleaning dances, working on the presence of the pieces, and running dances countless times culminate in the time to shine. It’s time to pull out those costumes, do the make up, fix the hair, and dance!

Our dancers had a great first competition. All the dancers were fully prepared for our first competition of the season. They can probably do their company dances in their sleep at this point. We were so happy to be able to compete again after most of our competitions were cancelled last year. The dancers came to life in their performances, and we were privileged to watch them do what they love.

Here are a few pictures from our first dance competition. We wish our dancers the best of luck on Friday when they compete in Austin and in a few weeks when they compete in Bastrop. We know they will continue to shine!
